Indigenous Governance Network Launch

Fri 16 Oct 2020

Welcome message from CEO of the Australian Indigenous Governance Institute, Michelle Deshong.

The Network is an online engagement and connection platform which brings together individuals and organisations from across Australia, who are involved in, or interested in learning more about Indigenous Governance.

Our aim is to provide a vehicle for Indigenous-led organisations, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples and community members to share and discuss governance best practice, both domestically and internationally.

Become a member to learn more, connect with other professionals working in Indigenous governance and engage in a strengths-based dialogue about the work that you do.

On the Network you will find three main features:

  1. Network Community A space for members to connect and build a network of like-minded professionals. View each other’s biographical information, governance expertise and contact details.
  2. Governance Updates With frequent posts by the Network team, here you can keep up to date with the latest in Indigenous Governance resources, initiatives and stories of success.
  3. Discussion Forums Participate in topical discussions about the latest governance innovations and happenings with other members. Gain peer-to-peer support on strategies to strengthen your governance practices.

Check out and join the Network via this link.

We are keen to hear about your new, innovative, promising or productive research or initiative in self-determination, governance and economic development. If you have a story to share, get in touch with the Network team here.
